eCubed was appointed for Mechanical and Hydraulic services for this extensive re-imagining of an iconic character building in the heart of the city. The aim was to create a destination to rival great fish markets around the world.

Also home to Sanford Headquarters, the refurbishment of the premises was a significant project with high visibility in the extensively re-developed Wynyard Quarter.
Opportunities to integrate sustainable design options within the project in line with Sanford’s values, were investigated together with the life expectancy of this complete makeover.
The buildings around the courtyard have an array of functions, and Sanford has ambitious plans to make the premises a venue of choice, including for entertainment, e.g. a concert venue or theatre space.
